Dekalb County resident dies in car accident

A Dekalb County resident is dead after a one vehicle accident yesterday in Dekalb County on North West 348th Street about 1 mile west of Route K, 5 miles south of Stewartsville.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 39-year-old Stewartsville resident, Thomas Peters, was eastbound on Northwest 348th Street when his pick up lost control, traveling off the north side of the roadway causing it to overturn and eject him. Peters was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident was investigated by Clinton County Sheriff's Department, Dekalb County Sheriff's Department, Stewartsville Police Department, Stewartsville Fire Department, and Dekalb-Clinton EMS.
